Description
Scythed’s debut album is a conceptual journey through one of the most dramatic chapters of ancient history: the Roman invasion of Britain and the rebellion led by Boudica. Told in chronological order across eight tracks, the album explores themes of conquest, betrayal, resistance, and the personal cost of war.
From the militaristic precision of the Roman legions in Gladius and Mona, to the rising defiance of the Iceni tribe in Iceni and Allies, the album builds toward the explosive revolt in Boudica and Resistance. It ends on a haunting and introspective note with Injustice, where the legendary queen reflects on the devastation left in the wake of her uprising.
Musically, the album blends the melodic force of classic Power Metal with cinematic storytelling. Driving riffs, powerful vocals, and shifting dynamics support the narrative as it moves from triumphant to tragic.
Scythed’s Resistance tells a story of identity, conviction, and the heavy price of standing up to oppression.
